what makes me the recovery coach for you?
My credentials demonstrate that I’ve dedicated the hours and the work necessary to become qualified to be your recovery coach. What the degrees and certifications don’t tell you is that I am in long-term recovery and I can help you.
I have lived this journey in recovery for over thirty years. In one way another, I have lived your story. I almost destroyed my legal career and a beautiful family because of drugs and alcohol. I understand what it’s like to be held in the grip of a substance. I understand what it is like to make the most bizarre life decisions, and then rationalize that bizarre behavior because, after all, “it wasn’t hurting anyone but me.”
Like many people that I coach, I worked very hard to advance in my career. I became a successful trial attorney, but I almost watched it all go down the drain because of drugs and alcohol. I have seen those dark days. I know what stress, anxiety and fear can do to a career and to a home life.
Addiction knows no boundaries. It knows no age or gender. It doesn’t care what zip code we live in. No matter our backgrounds, my coaching clients and I share a common story.
Like my clients, I have made promises to myself and to the ones I love, only to break them. Like my clients, I have gone to bed on a Sunday, vowing that Monday would be the day I’d turn it all around. When Monday arrived, I was no better equipped to succeed than I was the night before.
Everyone’s life experiences are different, but the struggle of addiction is the common denominator that allows me to say, “I understand what you are going through.”
As your recovery coach I can help you break the horrible and devastating cycle of addiction.
